Vaughan ranks as fastest growing municipality
It isn’t a surprise that Vaughan is booming. But now that the numbers are in, we can see just how far we’ve come. Statistics Canada this week released its first batch of data from the 2006 census, showing population numbers across the country.The city is the fastest-growing municipality with a population that has swelled by 31.2 per cent to 238,866 in the past five years. It is the 18th largest municipality in the country and Brampton is the only city of comparable size growing faster. Read more
